March 2010 Well cant believe what a different person I am since my retirement and the fact that I am no longer subject to workplace bullying ....its a different me. I am enjoying supply teaching but hope to add to my activities during the summer months.Why why was that awful man so nasty to me.
It's really important to know that workplace bullies usually target high achievers. They target these people because it is important to the bully that they look good - and this occurs when they bully high achievers because they get results. At the same time, they are usually very manipulative and ensure they have good working relationships with their manager and other peers.
ReplyDeleteThere are bullies who are situational bullies - opportunists who prey on people because they see the opportunity to do so. This can usually be addressed if the workplace has zero tolerance to bullying and a clear policy. You also have chronic bullies - harder to get rid of, and they will bully, wherever they work.
At the end of the day, your health is the most important and by getting out, you have put yourself and your health first. Well done!!
